The 5th edition of the CoworkingSpainConference will be held in Barcelona on 20th and 21st May at the CREC space.

preparations are underway for the celebration of the 5th edition of the Coworking Spain Conference, the largest Coworking event held in Spain. This edition seeks to overcome the 250 people who attended the last edition held in Valencia.

Nowadays, Coworking is a global phenomenon. Increasingly Coworking spaces are registered, and there are currently 7,800 existing spaces in the world; among which 2,430 are located in Europe.

Specifically, in Spain, there are now about 1,000 registered Coworking spaces, ranking as one of the most influential countries in this new way of working and being a pioneer on the number of coworking spaces throughout Europe. This fact means that more than 7,000 self-employed, freelancers and startups work and share the same philosophy of work under the roof of Coworking, becoming thus the engine of the global economy.

Madrid and Barcelona are the cities where we can find the largest number of coworking spaces in Spain, as around the 50% of the spaces in Spain are divided between these two cities; followed by Valencia, with the 6% and Sevilla with the 3% of the market share in February.

There is growing interest from the corporate world in philosophy or coworking movement. Universities, development agencies, large organizations, public institutions, or acceleration programs are incorporating this system in their companies, and are even opening their own spaces.

Collaborative environments will be the main theme of the conference. This concept proposes new forms of organization based on collaboration within cities. Its inhabitants work together to share spaces, services, goods and infrastructure.

This 5th edition will bring together the most influential experts in Coworking and Collaborative Economics that will share and discuss ideas and experiences on new labor, economic and social models, with an audience of coworking spaces managers, incubator managers of startups, real estate managers, coworkers, entrepreneurs, journalists and architects, nurseries, associations…

This conference is a unique opportunity to meet the current reality of Coworking and growth of a now more specialized, diverse and mature sector.

CoworkingSpain is the organizer of the conference in collaboration with CREC and this 5th edition also collaborates with CoworkingEurope.
