Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg announced that the tech giant will be opening “Startup Garage” in Paris’s Station F, the only startup campus gathering a whole entrepreneurial ecosystem under one roof.
Station F is announcing the early opening this 2017 and is around 34,000 sq meters big. This campus counts with more than 3000 desks in the starup zone and there are involved more than 10 international startup programs. In 2018 they are expecting to develop: 3 towers, 100 shared apartments for 600 person capacity, 1 sport center, 1 cafe and 1 private lounge bar.
These are the facilities that the giant company Facebook has chosen for their project: the new startup incubator.
As “Fortune” has published, “Startup Garage will have 80 desks inside the facility. Every six months, the social media giant will work directly with 10 to 15 data-driven startups and allow the founders to learn from Facebook engineers. The startups selected to kick off the new program include Chekk, Mapstr, The Fabulous, OneClub and Karos. Facebook is accepting applications for the program until Feb. 28.”
In partnership with Station F, the Startup Garage from Facebook will empower data-driven startups in France to accelerate their businesses in new and innovative ways, placing consumer trust and control at the center.
